Laick Design is owned and operated by Alan Laick. Alan serves as the Creative Director at Laick Design. He is an alumnus of Waynesburg College as well as Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC). His degrees from WCCC are: Graphic Communications, Commercial Art & Design, and Web Design. From Waynesburg College, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media in which he graduated Magna Cum Laude and ranked number one in his field of study in his graduating class.
Alan's professional background includes traditional typography, pre-press and print production, as well as all aspects of graphic design and web development. His education is continued by attending various seminars and conferences throughout the country.
Every month Alan is a featured guest on The American Entrepreneur Radio Show 1360 AM with host Ron Morris. There Alan discusses the latest trends and tips in graphic design, website development and marketing.
He also serves on many local technology-based committees and is active in the Uniontown, Pittsburgh and Waynesburg communities. In 2009, Alan was elected as the President of the Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the board for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Light the Night committee, the Uleta Fund and acts as the secretary for the Uniontown Chestnut Ridge Rotary Club.
Furthermore, Alan is currently a member of the WCCC faculty, serving in the Computer Technology & Business Department. He formerly taught at Waynesburg University.
